Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate publication are considered forms of academic misconduct.
Manuscripts may be rejected if misconduct is identified during editorial screening or peer review. Where misconduct is identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction or retraction, as appropriate, and notify the author's institution where warranted.

A similarity score alone does not establish plagiarism; editorial assessment of the matched material and its context is required.

Requesting clarification or an explanation from the author.
-
Rejecting the submitted manuscript.
